Follow these 3 steps to configure your leave types!

Step 1: Creating Leave Group
- On the left sidebar menu, Click on Settings > Leave Types
- Click on the Leave Group tab

Click on + Add Leave Group
- Enter the Leave Group Name
- Select a Leave Type
- Select a Leave Policy
- Click on + Leave Type to an add additional Leave Type into group, if required
- Click on x to remove Leave Type, if required

Once done, click Save
Step 2: Adding Leave Policies
- Click on the Leave Types tab

Click + Add Leave Policy
- Select a Leave Type (Adoption Leave, Annual Leave, etc)
- Key in the Leave Policy Name
- Select a Renewal Date (Custom Date, Date Of Hire, Date Of Confirmation)
- Select the Month and Date of the Renewal Date

Select First Accrual Amount (Full or Prorated)
- Select if Years of Service Change Accural Amount is given in full or pro-rated (This is used when a company's Leave policy refreshes their employees' Leave balance on their hire date and not on Jan 1st every year)

Select Available From (Denotes when an employee can start applying for leave)
- Select Deduct From (Denotes which Leave Type balance to deduct from)
- Select Rounding Rule (Round off Leave Balance Available when balance is not a whole number)
- Choose whether to prorate Leave Balance when an employee leaves the company
Carry Over Leave Balance Settings
13. "Balance Application: The balance is restricted to dates before the expiry date": Toggle On to restrict carry over leave application dates to before its expiry date.
Example: If toggled on, carry over leave balance expiring on 01/03/2025, can only be applied on Date before 01/03/2025.
Current Year Balance Settings
14. Usage Limit: The Balance is restricted to dates before the reset date.
15. Toggle Leave In Advance, if required (Choose whether an employee can apply for leave beyond the available balance)
16. "Days of advance leave permitted for Current Year Usage": Enter no. of advance leave days users are allowed to apply within the current year.
17. "Days of advance leave permitted for Following Year Usage": Enter no. of advance leave days users are allowed to apply in the following year.
18. Input Yearly Leave Entitlement (Denotes Leave entitled for 1st Year of employment)
19. Select Qualification Criterion (Denotes when Leave commences)
20. Select When Does Entitlement Happen (Real Time as Default)
21. Select Accrual Interval (Set how leave is averaged out and earned by the employee)
22. Select Carry Over Option (No Carry Over, All, By Ratio, By Days)
23. Click x to remove record
24. Click + to add a 2nd level of Basis of Entitlement, if required
25. Repeat steps 18 to 22 to configure the 2nd level of Basis of Entitlement, if required
26. Once done, click Save*Note: Subsequent Level of Basis of Entitlement can be added to denote the Leave Entitlement employees receive once they reach a certain milestone / duration working in the company e.g. one extra day added after every year of service.
Step 3: Adding Leave Types
- Click on Leave Types tab

Click + Add Leave Type
- Key in the Leave Name
- Select Accrue Time In (Days or Hours)
- Select Paid / Unpaid
- Turn on the toggle button to include weekends when employees apply for this particular Leave type
- Turn on the toggle button to include holidays when employees apply for this particular Leave type
- Turn on the toggle button for off in-lieu when employees apply for this particular Leave type

Once done, click Save
